A stylish new London restaurant not far from Portman Sqaure, Hotel Chantelle will make it difficult for you to leave disappointed! Already established in New York, partners; FrankAlessio, Kyle O’Brien, Ravi Patel and Seth Levine (executive Chef) launch Hotel Chantelle London as their first international expansion.
From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by their friendly staff who aim to cater to your culinary needs.
We enjoyed their Tuna Tartar, Surf and Turf and Macaroni Cheese featured in their Small Plates menu. It may sound pretty ordinary, but I can assure you the food it nothing but! The Tuna Tartar was encased in a crispy pastry forming a cigar ready to dip into a smooth Wasabi mayo. The Surf and Turf featured waguya beef carpaccio layered below a seasoned scallop tartar. The Macaroni and Cheese was a nostalgic choice and ticked my comfort food box.
Drinks were priced as you would expect in any W1 cocktail bar. Although the menu is short, they include an array of cocktails with entertaining names. We tried “Daddy Issues” and “WanderLust” both polar opposites. Daddy Issues is sharp and zingy whilst WanderLust was sweet and almost silky in texture. If you don’t fancy any on their list, we’re sure their talented bar tender could whip you up something more to your taste.
Hotel Chantelle is definitely a place to check out if you enjoy your quirky stylish scene. We recommend booking a visit on a Friday night for a hit of the full experience.
